Before you become a lawyer you have to get a license of practicing law, and before getting the license of practice you have to pass the HEC LAW GAT TEST. For the license, you have to submit your intimation to the bar council for initiating the Intimation process. For initializing the intimation process, you have to complete the eligibility criteria in Pakistan.

Eligibility Criteria for Intimation Process

  • Is the citizen of Pakistan or deriving nationality from the State of Azad Jammu & Kashmir,
  • Or a national of any other country, who has resided in Pakistan for one year.
  • Barrister or has obtained a Bachelor’s degree in any subject other than Law and a degree in Law from a university in or outside Pakistan, recognized by the Pakistan Bar Council.
  • Has the result card of HEC Law GAT is considered eligible for initializing the intimation process.

The first part of Intimation Form

In the first section, your senior has to fill up things like
  • Name of candidate
  • Name of the candidate's father or mother name
  • Date of birth
  • Passing year of LLB
  • Name of your senior
  • The subordinate court where your senior is practicing
  • Pupilship starting date

The second part of Intimation Form

In the second section, you have to fill up things like
  • Name
  • Name of practicing court
  • Enrollment Date etc.

Requisites for Filling Up the Intimation Form

  • Attested copies of LLB Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 passed result cards
  • Seniors License copy for verification purpose
  • Three passport size photograph with white background
  • Copy of your own identity card

Intimation Fee

You have to pay the Intimation fee in the bank through challan form for running the intimation process.
  • 2000 for up to 35 years of age
  • 5000 for up to 35 to 40 years of age
  • 10000 for up to 40 to 50 years of age
  • 20000 for up to 50 to 60 years of age
  • 35000 for above 60 years of age

Intimation Process after Filling up the Intimation Form

After filling up the form attach all the documents which are mentioned in the requisites section. After attaching the documents and fee challan. Send your Intimation form to the following address.

Punjab Bar Council, 9-Fane Road, Lahore.

 Confirm your Intimation receiving after 2 or 3 days by calling on this number. 042-99214245.
